Projects in Uganda

From national disease surveillance to county-level evaluations, our Kenya program spans nearly two decades of public health and development work.

Client: BMGF / Amref Health Africa Coverage: National (with Kenya, Zambia, Senegal) Dates: Mar 2020 – Aug 2021 Role: Senior Research Scientist

Contributed to a multi-country registry tracking healthcare worker COVID-19 exposure, symptom onset, testing outcomes and infection prevention and control compliance, generating evidence the Gates Foundation and Amref used to inform healthcare worker protection policy during the pandemic response.

Baseline Survey — Regional WASH Project

Completed
Client: Amref Health Africa Coverage: National (with Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia) Dates: Aug 2017 Role: Lead Consultant

Established baseline WASH access, hygiene practice, and institutional capacity indicators across four countries, giving Amref a benchmark to measure the regional program's impact against over its lifecycle. Uganda's data collection focused on rural water point functionality and household sanitation practices alongside the other three country teams.
